The City of Los Angeles Settles with Family of Venice Beach Boardwalk Victim Alice Gruppioni for $12 Million
The Los Angeles City Council agreed to a $12 million settlement with the family of Alice Gruppioni, the Italian woman who was killed in 2013 while on her honeymoon in Venice Beach. As a tribute to the family and in response to the tremendous loss, the City has also agreed to place a memorial plaque on the Boardwalk in remembrance and honor of Alice Gruppioni.
